Saint Wolfgang attended the school of the taster on the Lake Constance island of Reichenau and then studied theology in Würzburg.
In 972 Wolfgang was consecrated Bishop of Regensburg. He held this office until his death. Legends emphasize several miracles that brought healing to the sick and warded off the evil of the devil.
