Offered by Anne Besnard
This charming console table in natural wood comes from the Rhône valley, and rests on four curved legs joined by an X-shaped brace. The belt is curved on the front and carved on the four crosspieces with stylized acanthus leaves, fleurons on the front and sides, and a clasp on the rear crosspiece. The top of the uprights is carved with lambrequins and fleurons, while the foottips are in the shape of a doe's hoof under a small scroll formed by the cord running along the foot. The top is made of a slab of Royal Red marble, also known as Flanders Red.
The marble has been restored here and there and is later.
