Born in Russia, Irena Brynner (1917-2003) is both sculptor and jewel designer, a leading artist in modern American jewelry.
This brooch is a typical example of her seventies production. Light but impressive by his size, a similar piece is illustrated in "Jewelry as art form" written by Irena Brynner.
She had a personal exhibition in Geneva Art Museum in 1979.
