Large leather travel trunk with studded decoration late 17th c

Beautiful and large trunk in brown leather on an oak core.
It is rectangular in shape with a slightly domed top.
It has a superb decoration composed of several forms of brass nails: large cabochons, round heads, flower-shaped heads, pointed hat-shaped heads.
The top bears a large "owner's mark" G L on either side of a stylized central motif. At the corners decorated with fleur-de-lys. The frame is a scalloped frieze. On the facade of large stylized flowers
The sides have a radiating decoration and have movable iron handles.

Open, it discovers the oak interior of very good quality.

Good condition. Some leather wear. Later period handles. Hinges changed. Missing lock.

The walnut base is from the 19th century. This safe can be placed directly on the ground.
The total height with the base is 117 cm.
