A 17th century carved ebony and ebonized wood cabinet, Paris

This cabinet opens by two doors revealing twelve drawers and two small doors. The scenes carved on the doors depict: "The meeting of David and Abigail" and "Esther and Assuerus". The engraving used as a model were made by a Swiss engraver Matthaüs Merian published between 1625 and1630 at Strasbourg.
Two drawers in the upper part are also carved depicting a Nymph and Satyr and puttis playing in the background.
Inner drawers are veneered with engraved ebony depicting flowers, folizge, animals, birds and puttis.
Small doors reveal a theater containing drawers, stairs leading to stage where painted panels depict angels' concert. The inner side of each small door is veneered with ivory, ebony, amaranth, satinwood and maple. In the middle an oil on panel depicts an angel musician. Small drawers are veneered with amaranth. The theater floor is veneered with ebony and satinwood.
Overall is in very good condition. All locks are original.
The stand is partly 17th century.
