Inro. Gold lacquer and mother of pearl. Japan Edo 17th century

A rare model of an Inro opening by 4 cases and a lid, on a japanese urushi black lacquer back-ground with a traditionnal straw cottage with a bird flying. Technique of hiramaki-e, kirigane, mother of pearl inlays. Height: 5,8 cm. Japan Edo (1693-1868) 17th century. Provenance : From the old collection of Maurice Feuillet.
