This piece of Indo-Portuguese furniture, moreover, is of the Mogul type.its decoration is different from that usually used in Indo-Portuguese furniture.Mogul art flourished in the Hindustan peninsula in many places where Islamic influence was once already felt,now revived by the seizure of the Delhi sultanate in 1526 by warriors from Mongolia.this piece of furniture is certainly a European commission, perhaps from the Jesuits based in Lahore.
